Order of the Sinking Star Platforms & Editions

Order of the Sinking Star's confirmed launch editions are the Windows game on Steam, Nintendo Switch 2 and PS5. Steam Deck has official Verified support for the Steam game. The October 8 launch announcement also confirms NVIDIA GeForce NOW, which streams the PC game to supported devices, including Macs; it is a separate access route from a native macOS release. For Japanese console purchases, follow PLAYISM's local Switch 2 and PS5 publishing record rather than the US stores.

The announced console line-up names Switch 2 and PS5. A search result that shortens the name to ‘Switch’ does not identify an original Nintendo Switch edition. Likewise, controller support is not an Xbox console release announcement.

The Steam game and its soundtrack have separate product records. A Mac or Linux icon on the soundtrack does not establish that the game itself runs natively on that operating system.

For Japanese console dates, local store entry points and language details, use Japan release & PLAYISM. The US PlayStation release field differs from the publisher's global launch date; the release-date reference preserves both records without guessing why.

When choosing an edition, compare its actual store identity and account region before price. The buying comparison keeps Steam packages, soundtrack bundles and console purchases separate.

Native support, handheld support and cloud access mean different things

Native desktop support
Steam's full-game API lists windows:true, mac:false and linux:false. Its published PC requirements are for Windows. This answers the native-edition question; it does not rule out another supported access route.
Steam Deck support
The publisher confirms Deck Verified status, and Valve's compatibility report covers the default controller configuration, button glyphs, readable interface text and default performance. Deck support is not a separate native Linux store edition or a measured frame-rate guarantee.
GeForce NOW access
The official full-release announcement says the game is available through GeForce NOW. NVIDIA supports Mac clients, but you still need an eligible service region, a supported game-store entitlement and a suitable connection. The game runs on the cloud service rather than as a macOS executable.
Cloud saves
Steam Cloud and Nintendo Save Data Cloud concern saved progress. They are different from streaming the game and, by themselves, do not establish transfer between Steam, Switch 2 and PS5.

If you have a Mac, Mac compatibility gives the supported cloud route and distinguishes it from historical compatibility-layer reports. If moving existing progress is the deciding factor, check the cross-save reference before buying another edition.
